The Weather in Whittier

… is always sh#ttier. Or, at least that’s what they say. It seemed pretty good to us.

First, you have to drive through the “second longest tunnel in the United States.” The, you arrive in Whittier – where everyone in town lives in a single building. A newer version of the old secret WWII military base complex. Otherwise, the town is just a port with lots of fisherman and a few coffee shops.

We headed down to the free beach camping spot and found our buddies Ariana and Caleb already set up.

Wowie Zowie!! You’re bus looks so very similar to mine, a red ’71 Westy, with solar panel, etc. I just returned to Ohio from 5 weeks in Southwest, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, etc. Have had my Westy “Nevadavan” for 15 years. If traveling through central Ohio call (740-398-8831) & do stop by. We have great camping on our property next to the scenic Kokosing River Near Gambier, OH (Kenyon College). Happy trails & safe travels!
