Sugar Loaf

After a few cloudy days, we were finally able to make our way up the iconic Pão de Açúcar.

It didn’t take long for the conversation to turn to Moonraker. Luckily, the cable car was too crowded for Bode to climb out of the top for his action scene.

Dr. Holly Goodhead: Hang on, James!
James Bond: The thought had occurred to me.

It was a nice view and just one of those things you have to do in Rio. Later, we headed for the beach below for some fresh cold coconut water and random parrot entertainment.

This is the beach where my father learned to swim. the US Army had a base here when he was a boy growing up in Rio. He used to sneak away from the boarding school and hang out with the US soldiers.
