Port Au Choix

We went to hike at Western Brooks Pond. It was a very nice hike. There were a lot of flowers, trees and mountains. And when you get to the boardwalk you have to take a boat to the other side of the lake.

We also went to the Point Riche Lighthouse

It was also very nice, although we had to camp behind a building to protect ourselves from the wind. The lighthouse was in the Port Au Choix national historic site. They were out of ranger booklets, so I could not get a junior ranger badge. I read about a native tribe that lived there who were believed to be vikings that settled down. They also made their houses out of whale bones.
