Acadia Lobstah

The major stop on our trip through Maine was Acadia National Park. Of course, a Junior Ranger badge was earned, but the highlight for Bode was probably the pop-overs at Jordon Pond.

For the rest of us, it was the lobstah at Thurston’s Lobster Pound down in Bass Harbor.

While we enjoyed our dinner, Bode and all the other kids played in the water below the pier. They even managed to catch a crab. Then, let it go. Then, catch it again each time a new kid showed up. After Angela and I enjoyed a nice dinner, we got him a hot-dog to go. Consider that an endorsement.

We may have set a record for firewood, at $3 a bundle on the way back to the campsite. Here, Bode caught an actual Pikachu.

The other day, after playing with a bunch of kids, he confided in me, “I think that girl might have had a crush on me.”
