Down to Texas

We put away our ski gear and packed up the bus for a still-to-be-determined summer of fun.

Bode has an 11th birthday coming up and he’s pretty sure he’ll be getting a letter from Hogwarts, so we had planned a route to Florida where a Harry Potter world awaits. But, a few days before we left Colorado,we got a call that Jason’s dad sold his house. So, we made a minor tweak to the route that sent us through Texas to help with the move.

It snowed on us as we left Colorado, and we were all pretty giddy to get out of the cold and back on the road. We had 1000 miles ahead of us and we managed to make our way down to Austin in only 3 days. Zero bus problems. With a little bit of research, we even managed to camp for free each night at local city parks that allow ‘overnight parking.’
