Moose

After seeing no animals (except the sled dog team) in Denali, we pulled back out to the Parks Highway. Just outside the park, this momma moose and her two babies were just standing by the side of the road posing for photos.

Adv-O-dna had arranged a meet up with some other Airstreamers with kids. Mali-mish has been on the road in a really sweet Airstream for 7 years. Three kids, one cat. We met them at boondock spot near Cantwell with a beaver dam in the river below us.

Kerri, Tim and their dogs Byron and Moose were there, too. And, after awhile, Dirk recognized our bus from the highway and pulled in to join us. We had met Dirk on the Dalton driving to Prudhoe Bay. He had climbed Denali (Mt. McKinley) a few weeks before. Party in the gravel lot!

Bode had instant buddies and they disappeared into the Airstream for a Minecraft marathon. The weather was better the next day and we were able to coax the kids outside and out into the river to play.
