Birch Lake

We had the bright idea of driving north until we were out of the smoke. We made it up to Birch Lake and the skies looked clear. It was another hot day and a clear lake for swimming, so we stopped to camp.

This lake was nice, but the “camping” was just the parking lot next to the lake. Not bad, but not that great either. Everyone was out enjoying the sun, so it was a lively scene and we all made some new friends.

The crazy thing is that with the long days and nearly un-ending sunshine, you can easily take your jet-ski out at 2 AM with plenty of light. So, people do.
