RV World

On our way out of Larami we were signaled over by one of the VW drivers in town (out of exactly five) and chatted for a while about buses and road-tripin’. As always, VW bus people are good people.

We drove a whole 100 miles today. All the way to Rawlins, WY. We sprang for the schmancy RV campground because it was kid-friendly, and despite this being only our 3rd day, we had to do laundry. Our campsite was windy and close to the freeway, so they gave us a giant metal building for a wind-break.

The mini-golf course was really fun and old-school. Bode met a great group of kids and played on the playground with them until after dark (and first thing the next morning before we all moved on). Their family was only a few hours from home in Salt Lake, so they donated their extra pantry items. I didn’t notice the supplies until after they pulled away. Ashlee Marie did mention her baking blog! So now, we have the largest sack of flour I’ve ever owned, tons of sugar (regular and brown), 17-eggs!! These guys have 5 kids and love to bake. We don’t have an oven.

Anyway, we were totally inspired to try baking more. We only have a dutch oven, so we’re looking for ideas. I tried an apple crisp, camping recipe, but I ended up burning the apples and the boys wouldn’t eat it.

After looking at the map I’ll take craft beer in Vermont please.

Very educational post today, had to look up both dip and the location of Vermont. Nice to see you back on the road, looks chilly..

I had to look up “dutch oven”. I hope you’re not baking with the one I read.
