Playa El Requesón

This beach is fine, but looked better from the road. Up close, it’s a little grimy. I’m sure it’s seen better days.

Still, you just can’t complain about parking next to a palapa on the beach and setting up camp..

We found a gigantic clam that would have been a meal by itself. We dropped it back into the water and a gull swooped right in front of us and started trying to pull it out. It was too heavy for him, but he was persistent and spent 30 minutes dragging it up on the beach. Then another 30 trying to fly away with it. When he eventually gave up, we figured we’d spare the clam’s life and threw it back in the water. Immediately, the gull came back and screeched at us and the whole thing started all over again. There was actually a little chill in the air after the sun went down. We had to dig deep in the closet and pull out some warmer clothes.

Just doesn’t seem right to wear a sweater in Baja.
