River Rats
It turns out the best way to get to the Utah border from here is to drive north to Kremmling, then cut down an unpaved road that takes you back down to the interstate near Edwards. That way, you don’t have to cross the Continental Divide again.
It was a beauty of a drive.
Somewhere before Bond, we came across a big river rafting outfit with tons of campers, teepees and revelers. One big party full of river rats.
It’s good to be back on the road.
So glad to see you guys back on the road! If you haven’t passed it yet, I really recommend the giant hot springs pool thing in Glenwood springs. Awesome hot sulfur therapy for 40 year old limbs, joints and such. (Mine, at least) Also, I know you’re in favor of pure VW engineering, but there’s a good article in this month’s hot VWs magazine about how to make an air cooled engine last in extreme climates.
We drove right by it – looked pretty nice, though.
