Das Wagen
We’re been absent for a while because we’ve ended up back in Texas. Just us. Red Beard is still in Colorado.
Due to an illness in the family, we hopped on a quick flight that took us from a freezing blizzard to tropical heat and humidity in just a few hours.
Since we had to be out of our condo anyway, we packed up and did a pretty good job of getting all our stuff back into our standard 3 duffel bags – minus the ski gear. We donated all of our extra food to a neighbor, put the key in a lock box and that was that. I made a quick call to Ian – someone I’d never met except for a few Facebook messages – and asked if I could leave the bus with him for a completely unknown period of time. No problem.
I checked the compression before we headed to Denver and as always, it’s bad news. 75 psi all around. So, Ian’s going to look a the heads/valves while we’re gone and we just may return to find Red Beard all ready to go. Thanks, Ian and Das Wagen!
Glad to hear you all are ok from the ski/truck collisions. Hope your Tx family member is also on the upswing. Don’t these times make you hug each other a little closer? Even though y’all’ve been doing that all along….had similar moment of life clarity this week when hubby on bike collided w/car…thankful for only major soreness & life..
Hope you all & Red Beard all heal well & are back on the road again..
Hope everything turns out well. If you pass through New Mexico and need a spot to camp near Santa Fe, let us know…
I am a long time reader. Just wanted to say hi as you haven’t posted in a while and that is very unlike you. My thoughts are with you and your family.
hope all is well
It is actually called DER Wagen because it is masculine… just a grammar thing! 😉
