Salto Monday

We had planned to camp at a site near the dam, but it was closed for the season. They pointed us toward Salto Monday- a waterfall about 30 minutes away. Luckily, it was in the GPS because there were no signs. We drove around the outskirts of Ciudad del Oeste thinking there was no way this was the route to a waterfall. When we finally arrived, we found it plenty impressive, but I think it loses some tourism with Iguazu being just across the river. Still, it was a nice half hour stop.

We were the only ones at the campsite across the road and they seemed a bit surprised to see us, and a bit intrigued by our bus. The livestock that grazed the grounds didn’t seem bothered by us at all.
