Adios, Medellin!
We finally skedaddled from Medellin after a (much) longer than anticipated stay. It’s great great place and we simply had no idea. Now, we know.
We left after 15 days. We could have stayed longer.

New comment to a very old entry. But I;m going back through your trip to check out your journey, especially through Colombia. As I mentioned before, I lived in Medellin for a year back in 2002 when there were very few extranjeros. The ones that I met were there for love, having met their partners overseas before moving back to Colombia. I lived in a poorer section of town (Robleda) and, like you, absolutely loved the town and the country. It has so much to offer and the people are incredible. I’m just glad to know that it hasn’t changed much as the tourism biz explodes. And I’m glad to know you can still spend a night under the influence of aguardiente and have great stories to tell!
